Kearns, UT – September 29, 2025 – The Kearns Community Council has selected the Kearns Improvement District (KID) as this year’s Kearns Hometown Hero, honoring the District’s long-standing service, dedication, and contributions to the Kearns community.

We want to inform you of upcoming increases to your water and sewer rates to become effective January 1, 2026. The decision was not made lightly, and we understand the impact it will have on you and your household. There are significant issues that are impacting this year’s rates:

Malissa DiAnn Pahl, a candidate for the Kearns Improvement District Board of Trustees, has submitted a written notice of withdrawal from the election in accordance with Utah Code § 20A-9-207.

Every three (3) years the Utah Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Drinking Water (DDW) conducts a “Sanitary Survey” of a public drinking water’s system.
