Cheryle Hatch
Cheryle has been a resident and active volunteer in the Kearns community since 1988. She maintains a deep commitment, dedication, and care for the community and the values in which she has raised her family. Over the past several years Cheryle has involved herself with youth and non-profit organizations. Most recently she has worked in the educational system to help elementary students to meet goals in special and general education classrooms. During summer months she develops and creates educational programming for an extensive summer program for youth at a daycare facility. In these endeavors she has directly mentored volunteers and staff on means and ways to effectively communicate with their organizations, and how to improve their procedures and operating skills.
With this dedication and commitment Cheryle was elected to the Kearns Improvement District (KID) Board of Trustees in 2017. Cheryle’s experience and guidance has allowed the District to successfully navigate the difficulties of a pandemic, a major earthquake, the worst drought in 1200 years, and sky-high inflationary and material costs. Despite these extreme circumstances she helped provide guidance so that the service and care to the customers has been enhanced, while moderating the service rate hikes costs to the community. With her guidance the Kearns Improvement District has become one of the preeminent Districts in the State of Utah.
As a member of the Board of Trustees Cheryle has served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Kearns Improvement District and has also served two (2) years as an appointed Trustee on the Board of Trustees for the Central Valley Water Conservancy District. Cheryle looks forward to continually providing a level of service to the community that represents the needs of the residents and stands behind the "We Care" motto of Kearns Improvement District.
